The Theatre Leadership Project

TTLP seeks to transform and strengthen American theatre by investing in mentorships, training, job placement, and long-term support for Black creatives in key leadership positions

About TTLP

The time has come for the theatre industry to re-evaluate power structures and remove barriers to entry that have historically denied opportunities to diverse professionals. Focused on producing, general management, company management and stage management, The Theatre Leadership Project seeks to reimagine American theatre by investing in leadership opportunities for Black individuals.

The Impact

TTLP is committed to increasing the diversity of leaders across the commercial sector. We believe that by offering creatives of color sustained support, enhanced financial resources, and lasting connections across our industry, we will retain the kind of talent and leadership our field so desperately needs. We envision a thriving theater industry that has equitable pathways to leadership for those who have been systematically excluded. 80% of our fundraising goes directly to our fellow’s salary, relocation, and other programmatic needs.
